LEOPARD

We are the Leiden Extreme Optics and Photonics Astronomy Research and Development (LEOPARD) group at Leiden Observatory. The focus of our research is instrumentation for exoplanet imaging. Our group consists of professors, postdocs and students from all levels from graduate to bachelor.

Have a look at our research areas like coronagraph design, high resolution spectroscopy, polarisation, wavefront sensing, control, and novel data reduction techniques.

Our work includes outreach through art projects that incorporate optics and photonics, atmospheric science, and even LEGO models of telescopes.
