Research interests

Frans Snik is assistant professor. He focusses on [systems like integrating the vector Apodizing Phase Plate (vAPP)]. This includes focal-plane wavefront sensing, and other additional contrast enhancing techniques like polarimetry and spectroscopy.

This will enable unambiguous characterization of exoplanet atmospheres and surfaces. [more scientific interests: vegetation sensing, magnetic fields of stars?]
